Kara Johnson is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has worked in human services fields for over 15 years. Kara graduated from University of Colorado Denver with a MA in Counseling and Psychology in 2014, and an EdS. Degree in Educational Leadership and Policy in 2018. Kara specializes in working with the LGBTQ community, as well as individuals living with anxiety and depression, and those experiencing career confusion and frustration. Kara works with each client by using a strengths based and trauma informed lens while tackling issues surrounding identity, oppression, self empowerment, anxiety, and depression. Kara walks with clients as they overcome life’s hurdles and find a meaningful and clear path forward.
Katie Amsberry is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been working with youth and adults since 2014. She graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology. Katie specializes in working with youth who exist in high stress environments and experience anxiety and depression. She uses a strength-based approach to empower clients towards self-actualization. With a culturally competent mindset Katie works with youth and their families to find balance and compassion while setting goals towards a meaningful future.
